      Portland, OR
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Portland, OR) in May 2013

      Interview

The interviews were held at our local community college campus. We were brought into one of three room where there were two interviewers present and they asked a series of questions testing us on technical skills such as Boolean logic, identification of periodic elements, basic circuitry (Digital and analog), and math. We were also asked for personality questions on how we deal with specifics situations, difficult co-workers, stressful situations and the like. This was the 'end offer' for our Microelectronics program, as Intel worked hand-in-hand to develop the program to train technicians. As long as you had the skills and can pass the personality questions, a job was pretty much guaranteed. That being said, they're also not afraid to lay off skilled employees regardless if you went through the program or no.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They presented a circuit diagram with a series of Boolean gates an LED and transistor at the end of it. They then ask what happens if .7 volts was applied to the circuit.
