      Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Interview

      Aug 7, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Intellibus in Jul 2024

      Interview

Something is super fishy with this place. Applied via a posting on LinkedIn for their CTO role (a role I currently hold at a small cap company) and was called by a recruiter. He immediately went into some rudimentary coding questions followed by a couple of super soft management questions. After that 5 minute bit was over, he said we could proceed to schedule the next steps. He then described a process that no one on earth would use for an executive hire. He wanted me to take a 1 hour call with an engineer, a one hour call with a Jr. project manager and do 4 two hour multiple choice questions, after which they would make an offer. I was quite confessed and asked him to confirm this was in fact for their CTO opening and not another role and he said yes. I told him that didn't sound like an executive interview process at all and he said it is their process for the role. He then ended the call and sent me an invite for the first interview, which I declined.

      Question 1

To update architecture slides based on watching a 23-minute 'feedback' video. The cherry on top was when they showed me a table in the video that I was meant to recreate without a template AND to find the images online to represent things like Kafka.

      Interview

A long, pointless series of interviews with people who don't have an influence on hiring decisions, until they can have you interviewed with the micromanaging CEO, who asks outdated, unrelated questions to the role. TLDR: a complete waste of time.

      Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Interview

      Nov 19, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Intellibus in Nov 2024

      Interview

Reached out to me for an initial 15 minutes interview round which was filled up with random & unrelated tech questions. Upong asking the background of the company , and the kind of product they are building or the domain they operate on , the interviewer was very usure and hesitant in disclosing the information. Although the advertised position is CTO , i was told that they are looking for someone who can wear multiple hats and operate as a solution architect / analyst and a developer at times.
