It's amazing that even during the middle of a pandemic, one in which people are clearly struggling at levels we've never seen, companies are still viewing people as worthless. I was ghosted by Internet Brands’ internal recruiter after spending hours (over days) preparing for their process. And people should know this.
An internal Internet Brands reached out to me to schedule an interview for the following week. She missed that appointment then emailed midway through the original slot to apologize and ask to reschedule. Things happen, so I of course moved past that and accepted a meeting later that week.
I continued additional research after already spending most of that weekend preparing. Flash forward a few days - the recruiter was nowhere to be found during the interview time. I called, emailed twice to see if we needed to reschedule, etc. - NOTHING. I never heard anything from this person again, and would post the recruiters’ name but surely it’d be flagged or something. It was infuriating, confusing, and disheartening all at the same time - congrats on that accomplishment, Internet Brands. Based on other reviews, this doesn't seem to be an isolated incident, either.
If you are ever contacted for an interview with the company and you value your time, then consider declining. The company isn't worth it and does not show candidates respect.
