      Intern Interview

      Aug 5, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Intersport

      Interview

3 step interview process. Started with 2 phone calls then they gave a project that you had 72 hours to complete (8 candidates made it to this point in the interview process). I sent back my presentation and they said they would be in contact with me in about 2 weeks and would have a final decision made by "X date". Completely ghosted after I submitted my project. I followed up multiple times. The date passed that they said they would let all candidates know of a final decision. Followed up AGAIN since I assumed they picked someone else, just asking for feedback. No response for 4 months and finally just a "We went with someone else." I felt totally disrespected and spending so much time and energy on the project was a complete waste of time. Totally turned me off from the company as a whole.

      Interview

It was not too difficult. After reaching out regarding an internship role they responded immediately. We then set up a time to talk over the phone and after this first phone interview I was offered the internship.

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Intersport (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2014

      Interview

The entire process wasn't entirely lengthy. It involved an email, a phone call and an in person meeting. The in person meeting wasn't terribly intense, it was much more of a "get to know you" experience. Though it is important to note that I was merely applying as an intern. The more upper level positions consisted of a much more rigorous process, including multiple in person interviews with upper management.
