I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Intertech (Minnesota) (Eagan, MN) in Dec 2018
Interview
I started off speaking with a recruiter, who asked me about my experience as a developer, what I was looking for in my next job, how much I was hoping to earn in salary - typical recruiter questions.
Later, I was asked to complete a technical assessment through a third-party company that specializes in interviewing potential employees. My interviewer asked somewhat difficult questions, but in the end the recruiter revealed that I had done very well in the assessment.
Following that, the recruiter himself quizzed me on my resume more extensively in an hour long interview. Essentially, the recruiter asked me questions on all of my previous roles, my career aspirations, why I desire to leave my current job, and more.
In the next step, Intertech had me complete a cultural assessment to gauge if I would work well in their company. This test does not have any right or wrong answers, they just want to see what sort of personality, values, etc. you have.
Successfully moving forward from there, I was asked to drop in for an in-person interview.
Overall, the vetting process was very thorough, but from the review ratings here on Glassdoor, I guess that is a good thing because Intertech is successfully finding people who are qualified and great to work alongside.
You have three tables in a database: a table for university students, a table for each student's current class/course in a university, and a table for university departments. Write an SQL statement to retrieve an the Department ID for all students in the Computer Science class/course.
You have a banking website that displays a user's account information, a user's recent bank transactions, and promotional offers/advertisements that would relate to the user. How would you load each module, and in what order would you do so?
Thanks for taking the time to interview and share your experience with Intertech.
As shared in another interview review, our process is thorough. Our goal is to hire professionals who are "great to work alongside."
Thanks again for your time.
