I recently completed a 3-month, 7-round interview process for an entry-level position with Intuitive Surgical. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling extremely disappointed with the company's communication and professionalism. The interview process itself was tedious and time-consuming, with little regard for the candidate's time or effort. I felt like I was jumping through endless hoops without any clear indication of whether I was actually being considered for the position. Despite speaking with 3 recruiters, a hiring manager, and 3 different team members, I was told they wanted to schedule me for an EIGHTH interview. After being told this, I was not given any further updates via email or call for two weeks. It wasn't until I reached out to them via email that I found out the position had been filled. Overall, I was disappointed by the lack of organization and communication throughout the interview process with Intuitive Surgical. While I appreciate that the company may have rigorous hiring standards, the lengthy and tedious interview process was frustrating, exhausting, and ultimately pointless, as I was not offered the position. I feel that Intuitive's interview process indicates a lack of respect for the time and effort of its applicants and suggests that the company does not value its employees' time either. If you're a job seeker, approach this hiring process with caution and be prepared for a potentially unpleasant experience.
