      Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Interview

      Feb 8, 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Chicago, IL
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Invenergy (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2017

      Interview

I was sent an email from HR regarding if i was still interested in the position. I was currently working at company in power and i was intrigued by the opportunity of working at Invenergy. I first had a phone call with HR rep and it was different from other HR phone interviews i have had. The HR rep was very knowledgeable. It made my think in the moment of how i was going to answer each question. It was mostly behavioral questions. Then i had an interview with the Manager of the group i would be working in. He asked mostly about my resume and projects. Very straightforward. I get notice that i will have an in person interview at Invenergy. I had an interview with 5 different people, from my would be manager, director, VP of operations, Director of Commercial Execution and an Senior Electrical Engineer. Everyone was really friendly and it seemed more like an discussion than an interview. Questions was very similar to the two phone interviews. Come to the in person interview with good questions. They seemed to appreciate that i had different questions for each interviewer. I got an offer about a week later and i accepted. The whole process took about a month.
