Simple and easy process. Recruiter screen, conversation with their internal Senior Recruiting Manager then a 2 hour long onsite panel interview. It seemed like the conversations went fairly well, and I was excited about Invenergy. They gave me the classic "we'll be in touch" line then ghosted me after. I heard from the recruiter I was working with over a week later who gave a vague explanation that they gave the job to someone else with more experience. But I did a quick search on LinkedIn and found individuals on the team still posting about hiring for the exact same role I interviewed for.
This isn't the end of the world or anything. I just thought it was really rude and disrespectful of my time. I get that they probably just didn't like me and that's their right. But I put actual time and effort to prepare. I blocked off half of my day to go their office and talk with these people. I hoped they could have shown a shred of human decency to call or at least send a follow up email with actual feedback especially after a final round. Their time is no more valuable than mine or anyone else's. This did not leave a favorable impression in my mind, and I will certainly not recommend, nor will I be seeking any more employment opportunities with their recruiting team in the future.
