The interview process itself was fine. I went though an initial phone screen with a recruiter, 1:1 with the hiring manager, panel on-site and a video call with the founder. The part that really made it a bad experience for me was that I never heard back. Ever. It's clear I didn't get the job but I went through all of the steps only to be completely ghosted by the company. At the very least, the recruiting team should send a canned email saying they went with another candidate. My advice to this company is to treat your candidates with the same respect you expect from them. I took a lot of time to prepare for all the interviews I attended only to never receive a courtesy email or any feedback as to why I wasn't selected. It left a really bad impression and shows your priorities are not with your candidates, who will eventually become your employees.
