Discovered Invoca at a job fair and later received an e-mail from the hiring manager for an initial phone interview. Phone interview was 30 minutes long with the same person, the team leader for the position. The phone interview was straightforward and he did not expect you to have a lot of sales experience (I had none) but focused more on ability to demonstrate that you have achieved in previous jobs rather than just done what is expected and maybe even more importantly that you are easy to get along with and work well on a team. He commented that he chose previous employees based on their positive attitudes about contributing to the company. Researching the company beforehand was essential. Being comfortable with cold calling is one of the first questions asked. It is helpful to both parties to answer honestly.
