      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan in May 2016

      Interview

It was a very smooth process as they communicated fairly well throughout the process and they were quick to set up an interview and respond with an answer. Be prepared for technical questions on the market and if you are doing private banking, be ready to answer why you want to do private banking. It was a very positive experience even though I did not get an offer.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

If I am a 40 year old individual and I have 50 million dollars, how would you go about investing this money? If I am a client who has been travelling for the past 5 months and hasn't read anything about the markets, can you please summarize what is happening in the markets globally?

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan

      Interview

Sat down for an in-person with multiple interviewers after an initial phone call. Spoke with the more senior members last. The process involved questioning my experience and also the scope of my book.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me if I had a book. They seemed near exclusively looking for those with books. This is fine in my opinion, but I was there over an hour interviewing until the principal interviewed me and told me shortly that it wasn't a good fit. I should have seen the principal first.
