I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Sep 2016
Interview
There are several steps in the process, as I understand it changes for different candidates.
Step 1:It starts with a 1 hour phone screen in which you have a live coding session with a JPMorgan developer. I choose python as a language I want to be interviewed. I was asked about my experience and my strength then four general computer science questions (algorithms and trees) and two coding questions (dynamic programming and trees).
Step 2: Five different on-site interviews. three pure coding interviews, one with recruitment leader, one with the site manager.
Step 3: Three on-site interviews with with Interviewers from US & London using TV and Camera.
Step 4: A short 30 minutes phone interview with expected manager.
Step 5: offer
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
When I said I am an expert with python they asked advanced questions about python. Questions like performance, data structures and how they works and some syntax.
Regarding algorithms, there was no specific question about specific known algorithm, but understanding graphs, trees and dynamic programming definitely helped.
Interviewed with VP two weeks ago, after that no response from the recruiter about the interview or next steps still following up with the recruiter no response. At least I am expecting to get a response about the interview update.
Got contacted by an hr through LinkedIn and had a call the next day, was assured that a hiring manager would contact me soon to set up an interview. Got a response from them 2 weeks later, set up an interview with the developers. Ghosted after it.
“Did the J.P. Morgan online assessment—no live interview. It was mostly logic and problem-solving questions, not typical leetcode stuff. Fairly tricky, but instructions were clear and the timing felt reasonable
