I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Mumbai) in Apr 2015
Interview
Telephone screening followed by in-person round with some manager followed by the HR
For a scheduled interview, the interviewer does not come on time. They made me sit for 2 hours waiting. After the 1-on-1 he said that they will have an HR also, but i kept waiting for another 1.5 hours just to be informed that the HR is having some meeting. Very unprofessional & mediocre bunch of guys.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
About the interview
The interviewer had very little knowledge on many things. He asked questions on annotations without knowing much about it. Another example of ineptitude was his question on generics. They behave as if they are masters of subjects & do a favor by passing a question.
About the HR (conducted telephonically)
Some fellow had called just to quiz me on the number of companies I have changed. Mind well, this was after shortlisting my profile.
Never join them. They will advertise a vacancy for VP & then offer AVP. Highly unprofessional
The whole process went pretty smoothly and quick. 3 rounds of interviews with different levels of colleagues in that firm. Ask about previous experience and behavior questions. Interviewers are nice and respected my time
Met with the senior members of the deal and then junior members. Was really focused on getting to know each other and industry knowledge, relevant transaction experience and what I did on each transaction.
