I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at JBG SMITH (Washington, DC) in Feb 2019

Interview

I met with PM and APM. They were prepared with set questions and scenarios specific to property management and the community. It was about 1 hour of questions and then a tour of the property. I could tell they were looking for a certain personality to fit with the community.

Interview

The initial phone with recruiter went well. The subsequent interview with the site staff was a bit disappointing. I was surprised that an over qualified applicant like myself would passed over. I felt they were seeking someone younger.

They asked me about my experience working in a Class A apartment community. I was also asked how I dealt with difficult residents.
