I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at JCPenney in Aug 2011
Interview
The woman who interviewed me was very nice and friendly. Went over the store guidelines and talked about the importance of customer service. Asked a few questions about me and my availability. I was then interviewed by the manager who basically went over the overall job- which department I was in and the salary. I was then told that as long as my background check came back clean I was hired, and was to come in for training in a few days.

Question 1
If someone wanted a specific dress and we did not have the correct size, what would you do to satisfy the customer?
Easy, got hired in 1 week and was able to start as soon as possible. It was a good process and I liked the people I interviewed with. The culture is off to a positive start.
The interview process begins with an initial screening to review qualifications and experience. Selected candidates then participate in one or more interviews with the hiring team, which may include behavioral and role-specific questions. Final candidates may be asked to complete an assessment or meet with senior stakeholders before a hiring decision is made. Candidates are kept informed throughout the process.
