I applied online. I interviewed at JCPenney in Oct 2012
Interview
I was called in and assumed it would be a one on one interview, and it turned out to be a group with 6 other people. The interviewers asked questions and we each answered. At the end we were told that unless we heard from them by Wednesday there wouldn't be a position. The others in the interview dressed in jeans and a shirt and overall it was an uncomfortable experience. It was very quick, and to me it seemed as if the interviewers didn't really care. They also mentioned that the only perk that seemed to be available to employees was the discount, and in fact they kept repeating that.
