First, I received a phone call and did a fifteen minute interview. When finished, the woman interviewing me asked if i can come in for a group interview - said yes. A few days roll around, and I go to the store for the interview and we [the other candidates and I] were able to chat and get to know each other. Once the interview started, we went over scenarios and pitched ideas and worked together as a team {We supposedly were the best group the HR people had so far}. After that, we were paired up and had to roleplay. One person was the customer, the other the associate. One group was someone finding a dress to wear to a wedding, another was a housewarming gift, one was buying a gift for 7 year old twins - all of our budgets were 100.00. Then, we had to present our findings. We also went over what areas of the store we wanted to work in. After this, we were called one by one to go over things with the manager while her assistant answered questions - when i went into the managers office, we talked and we went over a couple of things [this lasted five minutes], and she told me i'll be called in a week with the times for orientation once the background check was in. I am glad that I got the offer though, i had a VERY good feeling about this location.
