I applied online. I interviewed at Jamf (Minneapolis, MN) in Nov 2019
Interview
The first interview was with an HR rep who was friendly and asked general questions regarding my experience and knowledge of Jamf and what they do. It was a pleasant interview and I was passed to the next round. Actually, after the initial interview, I had conversations with multiple people that I was interviewing to work with. Those were mostly conversational and dove into what I could expect from them as well as what they could expect from me. I had at least two rounds of this type of interview. Then, I got a call from I presume a group manager for another interview. This was very similar to the previous ones and I felt good about all of them. In each round of interviews, I was told that I would hear from the next person in a few days. On the final interview, I was told that I should expect to hear from someone in HR to arrange an in-person interview at HQ.
A week went by and on a Sunday night I received a generic dear John letter saying they had to make hard decisions, blah blah blah... After 6 interviews and promises of more, you would think they would have the courtesy to at least give you a clue as to why you were being eliminated from consideration.
I know it was a generic letter because I had received the exact same one a few months earlier when I had applied for a different job. It was frustrating to have taken so many weeks, advancing me the whole way and then to be rejected in that fashion was subpar.
