I applied to the role, and the hiring manager reached out fairly soon to set up a conversation. The conversation was thoroughly engaging and interesting, and I felt I was able to get a strong understanding of the role, company, and who the leader was as a person. The company sounds like a great place to work, and they seem to have a strong mission and vision. I was told the next step would be a 4-5 hour interview, which did seem a little intense, although I do appreciate trying to complete all the steps quickly. Ultimately, I did not move forward with the position due to some personal reasons, but it sounds like a great place overall.

Initial meet and greet with hiring manager. This is where it goes downhill. Then over the course of a 3 day span, a total of 7 more interviews with other team members. Over the course of about 4 hours on different days, to get an email at midnight, canceling my final interview because they filled the position. I can conclude that I likely dodged a bullet, if communicating things last minute, and after putting a candidate thru many rounds of interviewing. There was nothing I wanted more than this position, but I have to understand that at this point I dodged a major bullet, that wouldn’t align with how I work. I deserved at bare minimum a phone call during business hours after I moved my schedule around and took time off from my current position. The level of professionalism, and respect for my time would have just continued. Be weary of applying for positions within this company, as a professional this is not what I expected to happen given the amount I accommodated them.
