      Product Manager Interview

      Sep 6, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Jellyvision Lab

      Interview

Pretty standard process (for a PM interview). Phone call with recruiter & director of product to discuss basic stuff, followed by a Skype-ish video exercise (prioritize some features and tell us why, with follow-ups/etc.). Everyone was incredibly friendly, funny, and personable during the process, which was in line with expectations based on perception of the company's values. Was turned down, and when I asked for feedback, nothing (after multiple follow-ups), which was a bit surprising based on the above conversations, etc. but what can ya do?

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Standard questions around culture fit (huge at Jellyvision), product development, feature prioritization. Nothing groundbreaking!

      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Jellyvision Lab (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2018

      Interview

I had the same experience that a few folks have described. After submitting my initial application, I had 3 phone calls, the audition, and 4 panel interviews. Everyone I met with was very friendly, but sent a generic rejection email. I wanted to write back to thank them for the opportunity to interview and to request some feedback on what I was lacking, especially because I had consistently gotten extremely positive feedback from everyone at each stage. Unfortunately, their system blocked me from sending this follow-up email. I really wish they would at least provide some feedback to candidates who have dedicated so much time to the lengthy interview process. I called off a day of work and prepped for several hours to make a great impression. I would have marked this as a positive experience if they had handled the rejection differently.

      Project Manager Interview

      Jul 11, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Jellyvision Lab in Jun 2018

      Interview

I had a phone interview with a team member, who said she suggested I should move forward. Unfortunately, the role was filled before we could schedule an in-person interview. Had I moved forward, I was told that the rest of the process would include a skills review (sort of a take-home test) and then an in-person 'audition' with the team.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

If you had 12 hours of work to complete in an 8-hour day but absolutely had to leave the office at 5 PM, how would you handle that?
      Answer question

      Question 2

If you've heard conflicting information from two different stakeholders, how would you resolve that?
