      Enterprise Business Development Representative Interview

      Mar 17, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Jellyvision Lab (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2023

      Interview

The process was very involved, but as a fully remote company, it's understandable that they are doing the best they can to find the right candidates for their teams. Though the process involved 5 separate interviews, they tried to keep things moving and didn't take too long in between, with plenty of contact so you didn't feel abandoned. I had an initial screening call with a recruiter, an interview with the Director of Business Development, a cold call simulation (5 different scenarios to see how I handled different situations), a panel interview with the BD Manager, the Director of Sales, and 2 BD team members, and then a final interview with the SVP of Revenue. I felt very positive about the entire process, though the waiting was hard, and sadly, after all of that, they chose to go with another candidate. But I will be keeping my eyes open for another opportunity to join the Jellyvision team! I'm confident, through this process, that this is a company I'd like to work for.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Questions were standard - what is your current role/job history, how do you keep track of metrics/meet goals, how do you handle the "no", what situation are you most proud of, why do you enjoy Business Development, etc. Lots of questions to make you think on your feet, and opportunities in the simulation to see how you sound on calls, see how you handle different scenarios, etc. One fun question I was asked was "If you were a sandwich, what kind of sandwich would you be and why?"
