I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Jimmy John's (Staunton, VA) in Jan 2015
Interview
Typical interview process. No special bells or whistles. Typically meet with owner(s)/franchisee(s) when hired at this level. Expect a lot of scrutiny of past experience. Jimmy John's isn't like other restaurants, so you may be cross-checked in things that you indicate you feel are good habits may be viewed as bad habits in their operation. I suggest reversing the interview immediately and ask questions about the position and responsibilities prior to answering any in order to better articulate how your skills/experience are congruent with the requirements of the organization and the position.

Interview
It was fun and relaxed. They just try to get a feel for who you are as a person and your work ethic. Afterward, the job is described to you in great detail so you know exactly what it is you will be doing.
