      Recreation Specialist Interview

      Jan 30, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Job Corps in Oct 2014

      Interview

Applied to the position online and was contacted about an interview via phone. I went to the facility one day and it was a laid back interview with the recreation director. He explained the job in person as well as the shift (second shift W-Sun) and asked about past recreation experience. The job is working with at risk youth, and he asked a few questions regarding experience with that demographic. Overall was a pretty laid back interview. Took a quick tour of the areas of the facility the position would work in.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Personally the most difficult questions was regarding working with at risk youth, because at the time I had very little experience.

      Interview

Really good with the department manager. HR and everyone else including the director sucks. They do not have any type of management skills and will lose paper work easily. Multiple times I had to go in and redo paperwork.

      Question 1

Describe the last time you had to do something without recognition?

      Interview

Went through several interviews. Interviewers were polite and nice but did not accurately describe the work that you would be doing. I was offered a position that I did not apply for. I turned it down and about two or three weeks later they called me back and asked me to interview for the job that I originally applied for.
