I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at John Deere in Nov 2020
Interview
Interview process was straight forward and simple. There was an initial coding challenge which led to 2 rounds of final interviews. The final round interview consisted of a behavioral section and a technical section.
The behavioral interview was STAR based questions. The interviewers were very friendly and their questions were solid and straightforward.
The technical interview wasn’t too difficult, like leetcode easy-medium. However, the interviewer was a bit pushy while i was trying to think through the problem. This kind of threw me off and may or may not have affected my outcome but regardless just be ready if your interviewer is like that. Also, there was some kind of miscommunication between the interviewer and the panel of hiring managers because the feedback i received regarding the technical interview did not exactly match what happened during the interview.
After the interviews i was told when I’d hear back about the results but ended up not hearing back for another 2 weeks after that date.
I applied online. I interviewed at John Deere in Jul 2020
Interview
Had an initial phone screening with recruiter. The interview was very pleasant and insightful. Received a HackerRank assessment and needed to complete it within a week. I had internet trouble as it kept disconnecting and reconnecting, and lost a good chunk of time. The questions were fairly easy to complete, but I could not as I did not have enough time. I do not believe I will get a call back.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at John Deere (Ames, IA) in Sep 2017
Interview
Interview was a simple set of behavioral questions and the interviewer asked about job location preference and travel preference. I had a very amicable conversation with the interviewer and felt comfortable asking questions about the nature of the job.
