I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Jones Day (London, England) in Sep 2018
Interview
The vacation scheme interview is one stage, which is a partner interview with two lawyers. The interview itself is very conversational and focused on you as a person. They asked general questions about why law, then asked some commercial questions about how I'd deal with particular business scenarios, then asked questions about me as a person.

Interview
Really great interview process: they let you talk to a trainee to learn about the firm – this calms your nerves and gets you used to talking through a screen and also allows you to sort out any technology issues (which I had, I was annoyed to have missed this part because of it). The actual interview was conducted by two employees who were very kind. The experience was incredible, and I preferred it to other interviews, where it can be robotic. I'd say the interview is tough because they push you to show your full capabilities, which is also a good thing. I really enjoyed the whole thing and it taught me a lot.
