Interview
I applied online and about a week later got called for a group interview. I got there and 3 other girls were with me. We sat in the food court with two of the managers in a round table, super comfortable. They introduced themselves and we went around introducing ourselves to break the ice. They were both super nice, kinda quirky, but very welcoming. Felt much more comfortable than what I thought a group interview would be like. They asked questions and people would answer whenever they wanted. Pretty sure they were seeing who likes to take the initiative, very smart. They asked deeper questions which made us think but also get to know each other better. It was a bit harder for me to answer some questions because I've only worked at my parent's restaurant, and never retail before. I tried my best to associate the situation to what I've previously done. They told us we'd be starting out pretty short on hours but could work our way up. Also mentioned that they were hiring before the back to school season hits. After they were done interviewing us they said they'd call in less than a week. I interviewed on Thursday and got a call today, Wednesday, asking if I was still interested in the job. I go in Friday to do paperwork. This is my first job and interview so I'm really excited!

Question 1
What was one of your most disappointing moments in a work situation?
They just asked about previous leadership, jobs, and challenges that you've experienced in the past, just to get to know you as a person better, since they're looking for people who are willing to put themselves out there.

Interview
Sat outside the store and the manager and I exchanged information about ourselves, our experience, and the job. Manager was friendly and it felt more like a conversation than an interview.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Journeys (Clarksville, TN) in Mar 2024
Interview
I filled out my application and opted out due to an arbitration question. Surprisingly, I was still called in for an interview. The hiring managers seemed nice and dedicated to the company. The interview lasted around 30 minutes, so not enough time to get a feel for the company. After reviewing a few reviews, I feel slightly reluctant about the job's value.
