I applied online. I interviewed at Journeys (Taylor, MI) in Jul 2017
Interview
I filled out an app, within 3-4 days, they contacted me asking me to come in for an interview a week after I filled out the application. There was a group interview where everyone took their turn to answer each question that was asked, for example; describe yourself and tell me one interesting fact about yourself. Towards the end each member of the group was asked to pick an item from the store and try to sell it to the store manager (interviewee). Also, be prepared to list 5 brands Journey's sells.
It includes an interview with one of their managers with behavioral and experience based interview questions. They may ask for a phone screening with a manager as well. The whole process shouldn't take more than a few weeks.

Interview
It was quick and easy. Applied and got a call back 2 days later asking me why I wanted to work there and my availability. Then set up an in person interview which took around 10 minutes.
Quick 30 minute conversation. Pretty straightforward. As long as you seem like you can talk to people and are responsible you’ll be fine. Since it’s entry level they didn’t ask too much about past work experience.
