I applied online. I interviewed at Journeys (Houston, TX) in Nov 2017
Interview
Applied online and manager called me for an in-person interview at the store. Interview was solo, and very quick. Interviewed at seating area in the mall. She asked me how other would describe me, to describe myself in three words, what is personal style, and why I wanted to work for Journeys, etc...typical interview questions. She said she loved my vibe and felt that I was a great fit for the store, and I was offered the job immediately. All in all as long as your honest about who you are and what reflects you, especially if you fit the "cool vibe" of Journeys you'll be sure to get the job. I hated working for Journeys and would never recommend it, but the interview was one of my easiest. I also was high during the interview so who knows what she meant by vibe, maybe she could see I was on a different level. (this was before I learned to carry eyedrops). HAHA.
It includes an interview with one of their managers with behavioral and experience based interview questions. They may ask for a phone screening with a manager as well. The whole process shouldn't take more than a few weeks.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They ask about availability throughout the week and on weekends.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Journeys
Interview
It was quick and easy. Applied and got a call back 2 days later asking me why I wanted to work there and my availability. Then set up an in person interview which took around 10 minutes.
Quick 30 minute conversation. Pretty straightforward. As long as you seem like you can talk to people and are responsible you’ll be fine. Since it’s entry level they didn’t ask too much about past work experience.
