I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Journeys (Lehi, UT) in Dec 2013
Interview
The initial interview was easy. You absolutely have to wear shoes that they carry in the store you are applying for. I wasn't asked normal interview questions. They want to see how friendly and persistent you can be. So make sure you are funny and really try to become your hiree's friend almost instantly. Know about the shoes you are wearing, too. I was called back later that day and was scheduled a second interview. I was expecting more questions but that wasn't the case at all. I was told to put on a lanyard and become the friend of the next person to walk in. Don't try to sell shoes. Just be their friend and talk to them. The next person to walk in was 2 Asian men who barely spake English. I had a conversation for a while with them. It just took a little digging to get to their talking parts.

Interview
It was quick and easy. Applied and got a call back 2 days later asking me why I wanted to work there and my availability. Then set up an in person interview which took around 10 minutes.
Quick 30 minute conversation. Pretty straightforward. As long as you seem like you can talk to people and are responsible you’ll be fine. Since it’s entry level they didn’t ask too much about past work experience.
