The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at JustFoodForDogs (New York, NY)
Interview
I did a one hour phone screen with a recruiter and was told that I would move forward to a phone interview with a hiring manager. The second phone interview was scheduled but nobody called me at the interview time. I recieved a call several hours later from an HR employee, who asked me to reschedule because she had an unforseen company meeting. I agreed but she failed to call me a third time. I reached out to the recruiter to tell him what happened, and he graciously agreed to coordinate my phone interview with the company. After 3 weeks, I received a call from the same HR employee. This time she said that the call was NOT an interview but simply an opportunity for me to ask her my questions about the company. I told her that I was under the impression that the purpose of the call was a phone interview. She responded by telling me that she needed to see the recruiter's notes about me, and hung up abruptly without saying goodbye. It was a very awkward 5 minute conversation. The next morning, I recieved a generic rejection e-mail from her. I understand if they found another candidate that was closer to their price range or a better personality fit, but I expect to be treated with respect. This process dragged for about 3-4 weeks and seemed counterproductive and extremely disorganized. I do not think this company would be a good fit for my expectations due to the severe lack of professionalism that I experienced.
