I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at KIPP Schools (Columbus, OH) in Oct 2017
Interview
The interview process was long but organized and pleasant. I had 2 phone interviews before I was invited for the 3rd and final interview. I interviewed with the talent recruiter (HR) for about an hour then about a week later I had another phone interview with the principal. The following week I was invited for a campus tour, to do a mock lesson plan with 25 students and a final meeting with the principal. The whole process was an hour and about 30-40 minutes. The lesson plan was 25-30 mins long. A few teachers, the recruiter, and principal sat in on the lesson. I was sent a full agenda and additional info before my campus visit. Everything was so organized.
The interviewee asked a lot of questions about diversity as well as classroom malmanagement. They also had Asked about previous experience as well, student teaching and any other jobs you have had.
The interview was done over zoom which was simple process and made the interview more relaxed. Answered all of my questions, I was told I would hear back shortly but never did.
