I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at KPIT Technologies (Pune) in Sep 2015
Interview
This was a referral drive at KPIT (pune). Around 30 students were present for round 1.
The interview process consisted of total 3 rounds.
1)Aptitude (General + technical)
2)Technical interview
3)HR
The aptitude round had 2 sections (general and technical). The general apti was not that hard, some questions on quants, english, logical were asked. The technical apti was bit difficult, it had questions on DB, oops, programs, data structures. Each general and technical apti had 25 questions each. Minimum 12 marks were required in each section to clear the round. No negative marking, 30mins time for each section.
Later on, I was informed that I cleared the aptitude and was called for technical interview.
Technical interviewer asked me about my projects, asked me to write few queries, asked me about SDLC, data structures and asked me couple of programs too. He asked some questions on java, inheritance. in the end he gave me 2 puzzles to solve.
Later on, I was asked to come the next day, I was thinking that my HR round would be conducted and since they called me again I assumed I had cracked the Technical. But suprisingly they didnt take my HR and gave me the Offer Letter. Later on, they gave offers to total 5 people.
Tip: I think confidence is the key to crack the process, be thorough with the concepts and be confident when you answer. Also communication is the most important aspect.
