I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at KPMG in Jan 2015
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter about scheduling a phone interview. I never applied for any job. They found my resume. I was never given a job title, and wasn't sure which location the job was located in. I was asked to fill in a lengthy job application. Then I scheduled the phone screen for the next week. I did the phone screen, and the person was calling from another country. The person was hard to understand. The person asked me to describe my last couple of positions, how much travel I would be willing to do, and why my positions ended. They mentioned that the job title was Senior Analyst, but I knew I wasn't qualified for a role that advanced. The call lasted about nine minutes. About a half hour after the interview, I received a rejection email from someone in NYC stating, "I’d like to thank you for your interest in KPMG. Although we were impressed with your background, I currently do not have a specific position available that fits your background." I responded back to the hr person, asking why I was contacted if my background didn't fit any available positions, since they contacted me. She didn't respond. It's unprofessional to not have a job match for a candidate that you're contacting.
I applied online. I interviewed at KPMG (Gurgaon, Haryana)
Interview
There were 3 rounds , HR Screening, Manager and Partner. All questions were related to Excel and business Analytics as it was for Sales Analytics . Got opportunity to work in multiple projects.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at KPMG (Ciudad de Mexico) in Nov 2024
Interview

Submitted cover letter and CV in response to an online advert and was subsequently contacted by the talent team. Several discussions ensued, including a number of on-site meetings with various members of the team (generally at Director level) and an interview with a Partner.
From recollection, discussion largely covered my skills, experience capabilities, and motivation for applying, and discovering more about the nature of the role and work, opportunities, team and culture. While there was certainly an element of pitching and negotiation involved, there was no formal testing and the interview elements felt more like a genuine discussion and exchange to understand mutual compatibility, rather than being put under the microscope (an approach that I really appreciated compared with past application experiences).
