I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at KPMG (New York, NY) in May 2025
Interview
I had the worst possible experience anyone could ever have. Initial outreach was April 8th, 2025. Had a 30 minute recruiter interview a week later (April 15th). The recruiter said she would get back to me after getting a confirmation from the hiring team. On April 23rd the recruiter emailed me saying the team wants to go ahead. Had 3 back-to-back 30 minute interviews week of May 9th. Interviews went well, the team seemed very positive, and spoke to me as if they were going to hire me. After 2 weeks I reached out to the recruiter and got no response. She emailed me June 1st week to let me know they had budget constraints so were unable to go ahead. 3 weeks after that another MD (who I never spoke to) from the same team reaches out to me to "get to know me." We have our call second week of July. MD claimed that the initial positions were filled, there was no budget constraint, and now they are hiring for more roles. Been a week since that call, and no response. It has honestly been an emotional rollercoaster and I hope they know we are real candidates with real emotions just hoping to get our dream job.

Question 1
1) How do you work in a team?
2) How do you work with limited guidance/direction?
It was a very straightforward interview. I enjoyed talking to everyone, and it looks like a really nice firm. I would like to accept the offer, but I need to give it some thought.
Telefoninterview über Teams - mit Partner und Manager. Zuerst Personal Fit, CV präsentieren, dann fachliche Fragen im Bankensektor (z.B. beobachtete Trends). Am Ende ausreichend Zeit für Fragen und sonstige Themen. Rückmeldung kam telefonisch nach 2 Wochen.

Question 1
Welche Trends beobachtest du aktuell in der Finanzbranche?
Primarily a behavioral interview over 3 rounds. Some questions were a bit off-topic, but also meant to learn more about you. First met with the hiring manager and then 2 managers. I did not get an offer and also asked for feedback, but got no response.
