About 2 weeks after I applied, I got a phone call to discuss the position & do a phone screening. I was especially excited because this is such a well known, successful, & highly reviewed company, and because I did not expect to ever hear from this company (I felt that there would be many very qualified applicants to an organization like KP).
One of the first things that he mentioned was that "he found out more about the hours of the position" and that it was a graveyard shift, 8pm-4am. This completely contradicted the job posting, and made me feel like the company was being misleading when it posted the position. The listing specifically stated three things:
"Shift: Day"
"Working Hours Start: 8:00 AM"
"Working Hours End: 5:00 PM"
I, and probably a lot of people, would not have applied to this position if I had known it was a graveyard shift. I think they're possibly being misleading on purpose, because they'll get more applicants if they say it's a Day shift. If it was an honest mistake when the listing was created, why have they not updated it to reflect the graveyard shift?
Two thumbs down, KP.
