I applied online. I interviewed at Kenan Advantage Group in Jul 2026
Interview
Prescreen phone call with recruiter - first weird moment was when he said they kept reposting the job because the hiring manager only hires “senior level experience”
Next was a video interview in Teams with hiring manager. He didn’t know how to start the meeting. Asked a few basic questions with follow-ups. I think he spent more time telling me about the company and the job than I talked. He didn’t like I said I enjoy being challenge and like to learn new things because he said my job would be pretty much whatever so in my current company and he can’t guarantee any promotion to a new role so I might just be bored and looked for a new job.
The 3rd was an in-person interview. The hiring manager never reached out and setup the interview with everyone else and they were quite mad I never showed. I talked to the recruiter who confirm he only sent teams meetings to his staff and never told me. I still agreed to interview at this point I felt like it would be nice experience I hadn’t interviewed in person in forever.
Was told to arrive 10-15 min early and the interview would be 3-4 people and it was scheduled for 30 minutes. The interview panel was 2 people and it took closer to 50 minutes because one of them asked me 20 questions rapid fire. I got so overwhelmed I struggled with some of the questions. They were all over the place testing how well I knew agile vs waterfall vs SDLC vs PMO. I immediately knew I didn’t want this person to be my peer. I don’t even know if she realized how challenging she was to talk to because she never acknowledged any of my answers just went to the next one. The other interview asked me only 2 questions.
Then after being treated like I was a project and not a human the CIO came in and I had to interview with him. This was the least terrible experience of the whole process.
The hiring manager then just shrugs and said “okay that’s all. We will be in touch” no thanks for coming in or it was nice to meet you.
The 30 minute interview was 2 hours.
Then I never heard back I saw on my application in their system it shows the job was fulfilled. I wasn’t planning on taking it because the entire process was so wacky.if a business can’t even manage the hiring process I don’t have faith in they would be a good place to work.

Question 1
How do you handle competing requirements from different stakeholders and what of you do if they want to change requirements on a project that had already started with a budget approved and deadline approaching.

Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter after sending in my application. He was very new with the company. There was an initial scheduling issue. Once we connected, the phone screen was fairly basic. He indicated that he would send my information along to the hiring manager and set up a second interview. No response after a week. I sent a follow up message and was told the hiring manager was reviewing. Sent a second message a week later. No response at all. Sent a message to the hiring manager, received the generic "we selected another candidate" email the next day.

Question 1
It was really basic, pretty much the stuff directly from the job posting.
