1. An HR call which was pretty standard, all experience questions etc.
2. Online technical interview with the team
3. After first two I was called to their office in Waterloo to do an on site interview. It was 3.5 hours long, with 5 different people. First hour was a technical task on a computer, nothing special just to create some tableView app with certain conditions. Then another hour with two other guys - a senior dev and a project lead - talking about my experience, architectures and solving white board issues like drawing an architecture. Then a 1 on 1 talk with a team lead for another hour, talking about my experience etc. all regarding the processes and development.
4. Then I waited a week or so and suddenly got an email from their HR that the first technical interview online and 3.5 hours on site wasn't enough for the team and would like to conduct another technical interview online. I was like wtf these days with these companies, how many more interviews you need to do to satisfy them.. but okay, I did it. It was kinda weird because I needed to code on their computer online, the screen was very small and it was painfully slow too. I don't know why I couldn't do the same on my computer just sharing my screen..
Anyway, I was told I will get an answer from them till the end of the week (the interview was Wednesday morning) and didn't get anything. I wrote them a follow up email asking if they have any updates. Two weeks later - nothing. Just ignoring me.
I spent hours doing their interviews, along with a lot of energy, time and money on a car rent for on site interview. And the minute they decide not to move forward with you she (HR person who represents the company) doesn't even have a decency or respect to reply to a person who dedicated so much time to them. Very disrespectful. HR in its glory.
