The interview process at Kikoff was notably challenging and lengthy. The initial interview was surprisingly casual and lacked a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background. It seemed the focus was more on assessing whether candidates were a fit for the role or a potential risk, rather than understanding their unique contributions. The mention of a case study and presentation to the team added to the complexity of the process. It’s frustrating to see a company put candidates through such a drawn-out procedure, especially when many people are eager to work and need opportunities especially in this job market. Kikoff might be missing out on talented individuals by adhering to a narrow set of criteria and a rigid process. I agree with other reviews on Glassdoor—this was a waste of time and not a good experience. There’s a need for improvement in how they handle recruitment to better align with the diverse talent pool available. Do better!

Lots of bias: (1) Many people from the previous company, Lime. (2) Unsettling to see *every single one* of my interviewers of a certain race. (3) Openly dismissive of people who didn't meet their stereotype of former MBA/consultants. VERY BAD to have a case study prompt directly related to a current company problem. It is just blatantly gathering free ideas and free work. Unethical and uncool. Some late interviewers and last minute rescheduling. Some interviewers were too direct -- no self introduction, no ice breaker, just right into the questions. Unclear who my hiring manager was. Was told at beginning one person would be my boss, and then at the offer stage told it would be someone else, and then the next day another person. Inconsistent policy on RTO. Early on said they are okay with me working remotely, but at the offer stage they changed their mind. Offered a lot of money, but not nearly enough to buy a home and start a family in SF Bay Area. Haley is one of the nicest, friendliest recruiters I have ever worked with. Very on-time, direct, concise, with a smile, and easygoing. Would definitely work with her again.
