I applied online and within a week someone contacted me from Accenture, who they outsourced their recruiting to. The first round was with an Accenture person. She asked lots of questions about my background. I was told the next round would be a phone call with the hiring manager. Instead the second round was also with an Accenture guy, he was all over the place, he called me out of the blue on my cell and just started talking like we were best friends - - "Hey how you doing?" etc. and never said his name, his company or why he was calling, so I finally had to ask, "Who is this?" Third round was a phone interview with the hiring manager. He asked a combination of background/qualification questions and what my approach to different aspects of the job would be (90 day plan etc.). The fourth rounds was at their facility and that was very normal. They did not ask anything about my qualifications it was all behavior questions (what do about conflict, disagree about direction to take, under performing direct reports, have I ever been wrong and what did I do about it? Some multi-cultural issues, etc.) Some of their questions were indirect. For instance instead of asking, "What your development needs?" they asked, "What are you working to improve?" The fifth round was a video conference with a senior leader in Texas. That was very short. Their only question was about leadership and they actually did not ask a question, They just said I was qualified but they wondered about my leadership ability and then stopped talking. I caught the clue and talked about my approach to the role.
