I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Kimley-Horn (Fairfax, VA) in May 2016
Interview
I applied for the position online, then I did a phone interview with an HR associate and never heard from Kimley-Horn again. I assume I didn't get the position. Overall the associate was very courteous and seemed enthusiastic about me as a candidate. I really wish companies would make it more of a habit to tell people who apply, especially those who begin the process of interviewing, that they didn't get the job. It would be helpful because some processes take months while some take only days it would just be nice to know.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kimley-Horn in Jul 2025
Interview
Really looked forward to it. It was postponed until after the July 4th holiday, so I had plenty of time to do research. I noted the same position advertised in multiple cities—I live 15 minutes from one. Then, at the phone screening, I was informed I had applied to a location in Florida, and as I live in the Northeast, that wouldn't do. Why would a company need a graphic designer in 12 locations?. A first for everything—
