Interview
Three rounds. (HR, Hiring manager, panel)
HR was relatively simple. Hiring manager was also easy as she just wanted to understand desire and rough skill set. Full panel interview was a longer full day process. Multiple groups of people for ~45min each section. All were done over the phone/zoom.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kite Pharma in Jun 2022
Interview
The process consisted of many 1-on-1 interviews. What I did not like was that I think this company interviewed me for multiple positions while telling me that I was really interviewing for a single position. I feel that there was a lot of bait-and-switch tactics going on and got unethical and micromanaging vibes from the hiring managers. Their interview process was an interrogation, and while the questions weren't difficult to answer, any time that I said I didn't have a very specific experience handling a very specific technology (even though I have extensive in that area with analogous technologies), they implied that my experience wasn't 'real' because I didn't use that preferred technology. Also, this was the only hiring manager that has kept their zoom camera off.
It went very smooth. The HR was responsive and helpful. First round was with the HR. Second was on call with the hiring manager and third round was onsite interview. The HR was helpful in arranging the onsite interview process. The schedule was provided to me about who all would be interviewing me
