I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Knighted Ventures
Interview
1. Submitted a resume and answers to a few initial questions.
2. Got a call the next day to set up a webcam interview.
3. Completed the webcam interview and was invited to an 8.5 hour final interview.
4. All day, 8 hour in-person interview consisted of a team exercise, introductions, group interview questions, card counting (timed), learning the basics of how to play blackjack, learning the basics of the kind of work involved for this position, and a 20 question exam which largely consisted of blackjack-related math questions (calculating payouts for buster bets and bets in general). Staff were friendly and the environment was fairly relaxed. Was compensated $75 for this time (roughly $9/hour).
5. Received a call from HR the day after the 8 hour interview; no offer. HR informed me that 3 different "departments" must come to a unanimous decision regarding hires, therefore no offer would be extended at this time.
Regardless, great interviewing experience, interesting company overall, and friendly staff. I also especially appreciate the compensation after receiving no offer.
Three phases. First was a group interview going over responsibilities and logistics including expected wardrobe, then brief math quiz to demonstrate expectations for on the job mental math. Then they reached out to schedule a second interview time. I know there's three in all, but I didn't go through with the process
Round one was a group information session on Zoom. I was asked to do a simple math test (addition, multiplication). Round two was a one-on-one where I was asked to do another basic addition test.
I interviewed at Knighted Ventures (Rancho Cordova, CA)
Interview
About 5 minutes of behavioral and schedule discussion, then they made me do about 10 basic math exercises. You are provided as much time for each exercise. I definitely could have prepped better for the interview.
