I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Koalafi (Richmond, VA) in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview process for this glorified call center role had 4 parts. There was an initial call with a recruiter over the phone, an interview with the supervisor for the department over zoom and then a 2-part final interview in person with the manager and department head. I was very surprised to learn that they would require all of this considering the nature of the work and the low pay. The manager asked questions that seemed unrelated to the job, almost like it was an attempt to confuse me. I felt that I was put through so many steps to ultimately not be selected. Once I finished the final part of the interview, I had to reach out multiple times for updates. I felt hopeful when the recruiter said that they were still in the process of interviewing, meaning that I was still being considered or prioritized. After all of that, about 3 weeks later, I received a very generic email letting me know they had selected someone else. Not sure of the logic of having me wait instead of just saying I was not chosen. In this job market, it was so inconsiderate. A total waste of time.
