First call was with a recruiter. I was asked standard questions about my background and we discussed the role and specifics about the company. I withdrew after receiving another offer from a different company, but was turned off by the recruiter's tactic when discussing salary. They indicated my ask "sounded high" for my years of experience, even though it's market rate, which I felt didn't bode well for a future with the company.
