Multiple recruiters reach out to me regarding the same position. I was not initially interested, and then my situation changed so I indicated my interest to the third recruiter. I went through the initial interview process and then met with his manager. At the end of the interview, both gentlemen told me they wanted to continue on to the next interview. I provided them with my availability dates/times, and the junior recruiter responded by saying he would get back to me shortly to confirm a date/time to talk to the hiring manager. A couple of days past, and I did not hear anything. I reached out to the junior recruiter to follow up, and then crickets.
While 'ghosting' is an unfortunately common activity in the recruiting world, it should not happen in a company like KornFerry. What is also astonishing to me is that when you are interviewing candidates for an HR Executive, those candidates are so often the decision maker on who to use for outsourced executive recruitment - not smart for business to leave a negative impression on us.
