Applied for more than one positions. Received an email requesting to call for a telephone interview. A few normal interview questions, it went well. A face to face interview with the store manager was scheduled for a few days later. There was about 6 other applicants in the room. Made us fill out another application ( seriously I thought this was the second stage) including the hours of availability. On a sheet of paper asked what is your most favorite item at the store and why? Had to answer out loud as well. Interviewer passed around looking at what we wrote including the hours of availability . And stated I had no retail experience. (Crazy, not because you're not familiar with a company doesn't mean it not involve in retail. And she also had some questions about my availability). Anyways she called us individually outside the room and stated thanks for coming we'll contact you by the end of the day whether you selected. Right there and then I knew that I wasn't selected because she would have requested the documents that the previous interviewer said to bring. The next afternoon I got an email stating that '' After reviewing your submission and application, we have decided to pursue other applicants who more closely match the needs of this position.'' and the other post I applied to as well. (Apparently I'm not qualified to work at a Supermarket). I think only one person was selected from this group. Tip: Ensure that your availability is anytime or 24/7.
