I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kroger (Indianapolis, IN) in Sep 2015
Interview
The interview was fast, then I was drug tested, then asked to pipe borders, roses, drop flowers, and write. I could do all that, then they asked about avaliblity and a recieved a pay offer over the phone 3 days later
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kroger (Portland, OR) in Aug 2020
Interview
Average interview. Mostly situational interview questions- "tell me about a time...". The process was pretty casual but professional. HR came in to discuss pay-- they take into consideration your previous work experience and as a cake decorator they took a look at my work (brought in pics) and sent it off so corporate could determine my hourly pay.

Tell me about a time you failed and what did you learn from it?
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Kroger (Indianapolis, IN) in Dec 2019
Interview
It was an easy process...taking a while for background check but it's probably because of the holidays. I've worked at kroger before so it should not take as long.
I applied online. I interviewed at Kroger (New York, NY)
Interview
Was interviewed by a different manager than who I was told I would interview with. They asked basic questions and then did an oral drug test at the end. The manager I was supposed to interview with showed up at the end. It was a fairly smooth process. They stated that since I had previous experience they would get me a higher wage but that never happened. It took nearly two weeks for the results from the drug test to come back and to begin orientation.
