I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) in Apr 2023
Interview
Recruiter reached out to schedule a telephone interview. On the day of the interview I didnt receive a call at the agreed upon time and reached out asking if anything had come up. The recruiter ended up calling me 25 minutes late and said they had been pulled into a meeting. I get that things come up but a heads up would've been the right thing to do plus an apology. At the end of the call they stated they weren't sure if they could proceed with someone with no background in banking but they would check, share the local benefits and get back to me. I never got a response back plus my CV very clearly states what my background is, which isn't banking so they should not have reached out in the first place. Felt very unprofessional and unprepared.

First round screening by recruiter, who wouldn't be familiar with your niche. Then you would need to do a roleplay and also talk about situations when you went above and beyond.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group)
Interview
Unfortunately, my experience interviewing with LSEG was very disappointing. The process spanned nearly three months, requiring a significant investment of time and effort. After my first-round interview, I heard nothing for over two weeks. After following up with both the recuriter and hiring managers separately, I was eventually invited to a panel-style presentation interview, for which I spent considerable time preparing. Following that, I was again met with complete silence for over three weeks. When I followed up, I discovered that my HR contact was no longer with the company and that the position had been filled—something no one had communicated, and still their ATS system shows my application is 'in process'.
Overall, the lack of communication and follow-through made me feel that the company did not value the time and effort candidates invest in their hiring process. It was an extremely frustrating experience and fell well below expectations for a company of LSEG’s stature.
