After applying online, I received a call to come in to their corporate offices within a few days. I was greeted by the receptionist and after about 45 minutes of waiting, the interview started. HR manager and accounting manager are nice and friendly people. They seemed to only be going through the motions and had already picked someone. They also looked to be very antiquated with their accounting processes as their eyes glazed over when I referenced pivot tables, vlookups, and SQL databases. The simple fact is, they kept me waiting for over 20 minutes past my assigned interview time. How can I respect an employer who does not also respect the common courtesy of being on time. The interview process is a mutual one where I evaluate you as a potential employer while you do the same.
