Lakeshore Learning Materials Purchasing interview questions

Unless you're really passionate about this company, I wouldn't recommend interviewing. There are several things to know about Lakeshore's interviewing process. First, they bring in nearly every person that applies for a job. The interview room was crammed while I was there, and the receptionist made at least 5 calls to other candidates during the ten minutes I was waiting to interview. Second, they have a skills test, which is about the simplest test you'll ever see. I think they mainly have this test to keep you occupied while you're waiting to interview. Finally, the interview itself isn't really an interview. You spend about ten minutes listening to HR tell you about the company. Most of this simply regurgitates what you'd find on the company website. HR will ask you a question or two about yourself, but won't really seem that interested in what you'll have to say. HR will end the interview by telling you they're looking for the right fit and will be in touch shortly, but what they really seem to be looking for is the person who will write in the lowest salary possible on the job application. Most candidates will get a letter a week later saying that Lakeshore is going to hire someone with stronger industry experience, but what this means is that they will continue bringing in candidates until someone puts in a low enough salary that they'll want to hire them.
